The lands were once full of life. In the beginning of time, the foxes lived peacefully among on another, without corruption, without hate and vanity. There was no ruler, no heirarchy; just simple foxes, living simple lives and coexsisting with one another.
Long ago, four foxes were gifted with powers from the Gods; shadow, metal, celestial, and gravity. The Shadow Fox Solace could manipulate the shadows and the darkness around her to bend and warp reality, the Metal Fox Mercy could pull the metals out of the earth to create wonderous things out of it, the Celestial Fox Caine created the stars and wound beautiful things out of the diamonds they created, and the Gravity Fox Genevieve kept the earth alive and kept things rooted to ground.
But with all this power, the Council of Four, so they were called, became blinded by the power. The Gods had created the race of foxes and populated them all over the earth, and the Council of Four took advantage of it. They brought corruption and polluted the world, until finally the Gods got it all under control and locked them all away. Peace had once more settled upon the world.
But what the Gods didn't realize was that the Council of Four had passed on their traits. Four litters of kits, one kit in each litter. Each kit had gained their parent's power, and each one was destined to corrupt the earth as their parents had. Unless they can be stopped, the world will collapse into anarchy once more, and will be beyond redemption.
